Fast check-in and great service overall. New-fashioned room with sachets of instant coffee and a hair dryer, value for money compared to other properties. - the staff were accommodating, immensely pleasant, and helped me with private parking. - Location is close to Adelaide, good restaurants, pubs, and the botanical gardens.

Everything from facilities to the location was good.
In the email I received about hotel confirmation and when we rocked up at 146 Melbourne Street, there were no staff to help. It was ok to have everything automatic and self help systems but one should be informed about it before hand. I entered my details twice and the system said there was no vacancy. The least thing I would want to do is fight with a computer after a tired journey. When I called the phone help, they told me to come at Majestic Old Lion Apartments 9 Jerningham Street, North Adelaide. I went there and the lady took a while to fix everything. Then I came back to hotel and found out I need a pass for car park. I went back and lady said she forget about it. Finally, I went to hotel and found everything was brand spanking new. One more thing the car park doesn't allow you to park more than once. I would say that is just not fair. I have stayed at many hotel and they got plenty of parking.

It was comfortable and clean, the check in was seamless and the location of eating places outside the hotel was good.
I did not like the fact that you could not get in touch with someone to fix faulty items - such as the air con batteries.

The room was tastefully decorated
I dislike the self check in intensely. It's awful talking into an intercom to a faceless person when the machine does not recognise your booking. It's a very unpleasant way of entering a hotel without the friendliness of a normal reception counter
